Do Schools Give Students Covid 19 Vaccines?

(English Script Below)

Hello,

My name is Tina Friesen. I am the Low German Mennonite Consultant for Horizon School Division.

I work with the Low German families that live around: Lomond, Enchant, Vauxhall, Hays, Grassy Lake, Barnwell, Taber, Warner, Milk River, and Coutts.

I am here to help you with any questions that you might have to do with the schools in these areas.

During this last while, some parents have been scared to send their kids to school because they have heard that the schools will be giving their children COVID19 vaccines. This is not true.

I would like you to know some important facts about the COVID19 vaccine:

  1. The COVID19 vaccine is currently not authorized for use in children under 16 years of age.
  2. Children under the age of 18 cannot get a COVID19 vaccine without their parents’ consent. The parents have to fill out a consent form and sign it if they want their children to have the vaccine.
  3. The only way to get a COVID19 vaccination is to contact Alberta Health Services and make an appointment with them.
    1. If you would like to know more about the COVID19 vaccine you can contact Tina Meggison. She works with Alberta Health Services and also speaks Low German. You can reach her by phoning 403-308-8373.

If there is anything else that I can help you with, you can call me or talk with me over WhatsApp. My name is Tina Friesen. My phone number is 403-795-1016.

I wish you all the best and God’s blessings on you.
